She will be reporting on Board meetings and will provide features from time to time. As a former Board member, Kathy brings insight into the inner workings of the Board and has become an expert, through training provided by the Washington School Directors, on the proper role of Board members. -

Kathy White Receives Kennewick Education Association Endorsement
Posted on September 29, 2011 | No CommentsKathy White, running for re-election to Kennewick School Board position 3, has been endorsed by the Kennewick Education Association (KEA) according to KEA president Teri Staudinger. White met recently with local association members to discuss issues important to Kennewick school employees and students. White is authorized to use KEA’s name in campaign materials and will receive a donation from WEA-PAC funds. -

Posted on April 27, 2011 | 2 CommentsThe editorial board of the Tri-City Herald has spoken about the recent decision of the Kennewick School Board to support equal access by all student clubs. We must remember this was a 3 to 2 decision opposed by board members Lynn Fielding and Dawn Adams. Credit must be given to Wendy London, Kathy White and Heather Kintzley for promoting student safety and adherence to law. Kennewick navigates in controversial waters It always leaves us scratching our collective heads just a little when agencies invest more time and/or money in debating the law than complying with it. Posted on October 7, 2010 | 3 CommentsIn the context of analyzing and preparing the district Strategic Plan during this meeting London asked for clarification of the purpose and role of the Kennewick School Board. A contentious discussion followed. Frustration was expressed about the three vote bloc on the board. London suggested that she and Fielding arrange conflict mediation to find a way to work together.
