On July 20, 2011, Washington State adopted the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for education. The organization Truth in American Education is providing information about the standards to help parents, taxpayers and school boards understand the implications and impacts of the standards.

I agree with much of what I see here about the Common Core, but I am very suspicious of the people behind this group. I am going to try to check it out before I endorse their message.
After some checking, this is a very conservative group that believes, among other things, that the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are an unwarranted government intrusion into public education. While I agree with them on the outcome, there are many more reasons why the CCSS should be rescinded by Washington State.
